So, it has been a while….
I didn’t post a project in a long time because I have been very busy with work. But enough with the excuses! Let’s jump into a new year with new resolutions (one of them being to post more frequently on my blog)!
So, without further ado I want to show you the Christmas Cards I made in 2017 – a part of them anyways.
Did you make any new year’s resolutions?

Last week was Valentine’s Day.
Well… I have to admit that I do not think that an appointed day for raising sales for flowers and chocolates is specifically romantic. However, I also think that we should seize any chance to show some love. Especially in times like these.
That is why I want to share a Valentine’s Day card with you today.
This technique is inspired by the famous Jennifer McGuire.
It is a one-layer card; the bird is masked to allow the text in the background. The even spacing between the sentiments was achieved using a mini misti, a stamp positioner.
I used this technique before without the misti. The results aren’t too shabby either. Here are some of the examples:
Using the misti is however a lot easier.

Hi everyone! Summer is not over yet – anyways not for the next four days. So I decided to share with you some of my nautical summer cards.
Nautical or maritime is my all-time favourite theme! My whole wardrobe consists of white and blue stripes, anchors and navy blue.
That’s why I am always happy to make some nautical cards. And summer is just perfect for that.
In my opinion there is an easy way to achieve a nautical theme: The card just needs to contain one or a combination of the following: stripes, navy blue & white, anchor motive, some red and a gold accent.
Let’s celebrate the last couple days of summer with some sun and maritime feelings.
Wish you all an easy transition into autumn!

Hi, today I want to share with you 3 cards that I made craving sun and ice-cream. The weather isn’t all too great – it’s cold and rainy – so I decided to bring summer to my craft room with these summer-cards.
I made 3 really colourful cards with yummy and glittery ice-cream.
For the cards I used an adorable stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Ice Cream Dream.
Here I made a rainbow-circle with ice-cream cones because I couldn’t resist using as many colours as possible.
Hope summer comes soon to all of us!

Here are some of my Easter cards from this year. I know it is ridiculously late to post Easter cards, but I really wanted to share them with you!
The first card features a bunch of really colourful bunnies on an even more colourful background. Colourful & bright – perfect for spring!
For the other two cards I used a technique that I really loved and already talked about in another blogpost. I created a focal point on a very monochromatic card by highlighting one single image with colour; the other images are coloured grey and remain in the background.
For the last card I used the same technique but choose to colour in more than one chick due to the size of the image.
I wish you all a great spring!

After making tons and tons of Christmas and winter themed cards I was longing for something more flowery! I while back I ordered a beautiful stamp set from Altenew: Persian Motifs.
Inspired by Jennifer McGuire and her video with that stamp set I attempted to make a similar card. I stamped the florals with white embossing powder and coloured the insides with watercolour.
For the blue ones I used Tim Holtz Distress ink and perfect pearls for the shimmer.
The pink one is coloured using my brand new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours.
Look at all that shimmer!
Well, I am all ready for spring to come! How about you?
Hi, everyone. I hope you all had amazing holidays, a wonderful Christmas and a great start into the New Year!
Today I’d like to share a couple of Christmas cards from 2015 with you.

Hi everyone! Please be warned: the following post is an utter rant about customer service! But it also includes a couple of tips for shopping for art supplies in Austria. Please enjoy!
Usually I behave myself on social media and keep my ranting to a face-to-face level. But now and again I can’t help myself and I have to get it out of my system in a written form for everybody to read and – if they choose so – to join in.
Living in Austria means that getting specialised art supplies e.g. for scrapbooking or card making is difficult at best. At the very least it is expensive! There are only a couple of small and overpriced shops in Vienna that sell card making and scrapbooking supplies. At this point I want to say that I know that international taxes and the differences in currency etc. make it difficult for those shops as well to offer the products cheaper. Anyway, when they have a sale or take place in a trade fair it actually pays off to visit those shops. Weiterlesen

Hi there! Today I want to share with you a couple of cards I made using a technique that is simple but has quite an effect. It is made stamping the same image all over your work surface and then highlighting just one of these images by colouring it in.
The first card in this series I made with a coffee cup stamp from the Lawn Fawn Set “Love You a Latte” which I stamped in rows all over my white cardstock. I then coloured in only one of the coffee cups in bright yellows and oranges with my copic markers. The other images I coloured with greys to accentuate the contrast. For the greeting on the card and also the card base I choose a strip of cardstock that matched the colouring of the highlighted image.
I think that the effect you can achieve with this technique is very cute. So I decided to make a couple more cards… this time with cute critters! For this card I used a Paper Smooches crocodile stamp from the set “Zoo Crew”. Weiterlesen
Hi everyone, who remembers the lyrics from Disney’s The Little Mermaid? Well, I do and I have to say it is quite the catchy tune. I was humming it while I was making my cards…
Under the sea
Under the sea
Darling it’s better
Down where it’s wetter
Take it from me
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we devotin‘
Full time to floatin‘
Under the sea…
So, here are 4 cards I made using the adorable stamp set Nautical Blueprint by Tim Holtz. I really like the blueprint series a lot. It gives a project certain flair and I find the images quite adorable.
For each of the cards I used Neenah Dessert Storm as a card base and stamped the image directly on the card front. Weiterlesen
