After making tons and tons of Christmas and winter themed cards I was longing for something more flowery! I while back I ordered a beautiful stamp set from Altenew: Persian Motifs.
Inspired by Jennifer McGuire and her video with that stamp set I attempted to make a similar card. I stamped the florals with white embossing powder and coloured the insides with watercolour.
For the blue ones I used Tim Holtz Distress ink and perfect pearls for the shimmer.
The pink one is coloured using my brand new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours.
Look at all that shimmer!
Well, I am all ready for spring to come! How about you?
Hi, everyone. I hope you all had amazing holidays, a wonderful Christmas and a great start into the New Year!
Today I’d like to share a couple of Christmas cards from 2015 with you.

Hi everyone! Please be warned: the following post is an utter rant about customer service! But it also includes a couple of tips for shopping for art supplies in Austria. Please enjoy!
Usually I behave myself on social media and keep my ranting to a face-to-face level. But now and again I can’t help myself and I have to get it out of my system in a written form for everybody to read and – if they choose so – to join in.
Living in Austria means that getting specialised art supplies e.g. for scrapbooking or card making is difficult at best. At the very least it is expensive! There are only a couple of small and overpriced shops in Vienna that sell card making and scrapbooking supplies. At this point I want to say that I know that international taxes and the differences in currency etc. make it difficult for those shops as well to offer the products cheaper. Anyway, when they have a sale or take place in a trade fair it actually pays off to visit those shops. Weiterlesen

Hi there! Today I want to share with you a couple of cards I made using a technique that is simple but has quite an effect. It is made stamping the same image all over your work surface and then highlighting just one of these images by colouring it in.
The first card in this series I made with a coffee cup stamp from the Lawn Fawn Set “Love You a Latte” which I stamped in rows all over my white cardstock. I then coloured in only one of the coffee cups in bright yellows and oranges with my copic markers. The other images I coloured with greys to accentuate the contrast. For the greeting on the card and also the card base I choose a strip of cardstock that matched the colouring of the highlighted image.
I think that the effect you can achieve with this technique is very cute. So I decided to make a couple more cards… this time with cute critters! For this card I used a Paper Smooches crocodile stamp from the set “Zoo Crew”. Weiterlesen
Hi everyone, who remembers the lyrics from Disney’s The Little Mermaid? Well, I do and I have to say it is quite the catchy tune. I was humming it while I was making my cards…
Under the sea
Under the sea
Darling it’s better
Down where it’s wetter
Take it from me
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we devotin’
Full time to floatin’
Under the sea…
So, here are 4 cards I made using the adorable stamp set Nautical Blueprint by Tim Holtz. I really like the blueprint series a lot. It gives a project certain flair and I find the images quite adorable.
For each of the cards I used Neenah Dessert Storm as a card base and stamped the image directly on the card front. Weiterlesen
According to Wikipedia the Kraken […] (/ˈkreɪkən/ or /ˈkrɑːkən/) is a legendary sea monster of large proportions that is said to dwell off the coasts of Norway and Greenland. The legend may have originated from sightings of Giant squid that are estimated to grow to 12–15 m (40–50 ft) in length, including the tentacles. The sheer size and fearsome appearance attributed to the kraken have made it a common ocean-dwelling monster in various fictional works.” (2015-06-01 Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraken)
Sea monster, fearsome appearance, hmm… Well today I want to share with you 3 examples of the cute and cuddly version of the “The Kraken” 🙂
I used the adorable octopus from the Create a smile stamp set Underwaterlove. He is hell to cut out by hand but it is completely worth it because he is sooo cute! So cute that I couldn’t stop at just one card – I had to make more of this happy creature. Weiterlesen
Today I want to share two cards with you that I made using the adorable critters from the Paper Smooches Set „Zoo Crew “. One card is made using the cute hippo and the punny sentiment “hippo hurray”. I gave that card to a dear friend of mine as a birthday card.
I liked the simple yet colourful and summer like design of the card so much that I decided to make another one. For the second card I chose the adorable giraffe and paired it with the sentiment “I look up to you”.
Every year I patiently endure the grey, the cold and the depressing dullness of winter but when spring finally arrives I completely chance as a person. I am less irritated by people, I spend more time outside and I start to enjoy the beauty of nature again. And in my opinion nature best expresses its beauty through flowers. All those stunning, fresh and vibrant colours and the amazing smells are just breath-taking. And there is such a huge variety of flowers and I love them all.
Come spring the most obvious change I undergo is my preference of colours. Weiterlesen

Today I want to show you 3 cards I made recently using the lovely Gorjuss-stamps, coloured pencils and gamsol. I have to admit that I am a big fan of copics but once in a while I like to try something new.
I heard about gamsol some time ago, I watched several YouTube videos and found the results most stunning. And of course I have very fond childhood memories of coloured pencils. So I decided to get myself a set of gamsol and paper stomps and start the experiment.
Gamsol is a brand name for a blending medium for coloured pencils, an odourless mineral spirit. Basically it is a paint thinner which breaks down the wax in the coloured pencil allowing for beautiful blending.
For my first card I used a very pretty Gorjuss-stamp on white cardstock.
